Learn About Art Like The Masters

Pablo Picasso said, “I am always doing that which I cannot do, in order that I may learn to do it.”
There is nothing that can replace experience. If you can’t do something, you need to gain experience with it. Try it, learn from it, try again, and make progress.
In our I Create Art Box, we want to share ideas and techniques on how to do certain things. We also want you to experiment on your own. That’s why we ask some open ended questions in our instructions. There is no right answer, you have to find the answer that works best for you. You likely won’t find your answer right away. You may make a mess a couple times. That’s ok. Everything is a learning experience.
You can think of every drawing project like a puzzle that you need to solve with your answer. You can then use all those answers for future projects. Remember, if you learn a new technique, you can use it as a starting point for a new subject and make modifications to solve a new puzzle.

Just because this quote is from an artist doesn’t mean that it only applies to art. It applies to everything that you do. Learning to walk as a baby, learning an instrument or sport, cooking, reading. You will stumble and you will fall. But if you keep trying you will also achieve your desired result.
You will never get anywhere if you don’t try. Look through I Create Art Collections for your next inspiration!
